Feature Guide
AI Deep Discovery
Search naturally for something specific like 'a lens with warm flares and smooth bokeh'. Our AI searches the entire database and scores results for you.
In Development
AI Deep Discovery is currently in active development. Core search functionality is live, but we're continuously improving scoring accuracy, result ranking, and adding new search capabilities.
How It Works
Click the search button in the top navigation bar to open AI Deep Discovery. Type a natural language query describing what you're looking for — the AI deep-dives through our entire database, matching keywords against every lens's character traits, specs, and editorial content, then scores results based on how closely they match your description.
What You Can Search For
You can search for anything from specific optical behaviours ("lenses with strong petzval swirl") to creative descriptions ("cinematic vintage look with character") to technical specs ("85mm anamorphic with PL mount"). The AI understands context and returns scored results ranked by relevance.

Scored Results
Every result comes with a match score from 0–100%, showing how closely the lens matches your query. Higher scores mean a stronger match across multiple traits and characteristics. This lets you quickly see which lenses are the closest fit and which are worth exploring further.

Tips for Best Results
Be as specific or as vague as you like — the AI handles both. Describing the look you want tends to give the best results. You can also combine trait descriptions with specs, like "fast wide angle with smooth bokeh and warm flares". The more detail you provide, the more precisely the AI can rank results.

Search from Context Menus
You can also trigger an AI search directly from the Database context menu. Right-click any lens row and select 'Search Traits' — this pre-fills the search with that lens's character trait values, instantly finding lenses with a similar optical personality.
