CineLux
Exposure index zones, stop‑loss mapping, and true lumen & footcandle numbers. No inflation.
The next generation approach to finding your next fixture and textile obsession.
What to Expect
The definitive lighting & textile database
Exposure Index Zones
Full stop‑loss mapping from the centre of the beam to the edges for every fixture and modifier combination. See exactly where the hotspots sit across different dishes, reflectors, and diffusion so you can predict falloff before you set a single stand.
True Lumen & Footcandle Data
Real-world output numbers for lighting fixtures and textiles. Every fixture measured under controlled conditions with calibrated meters. True lumens, true footcandles, true data you can actually rely on.
Colour Accuracy & Spectral Data
Full CRI, TLCI, and spectral charts for every fixture so you know exactly what you're getting before it hits set. No guesswork, no surprises on the day.
Visual Beam Angle Representation
See the actual beam spread with every modifier attached. Interactive visual representations let you compare throw, spill, and falloff across fixtures and accessories.
Fabric & Diffusion Testing
Every fabric and diffusion material tested and visually compared. See exactly how each textile shapes light, with statistical charts measuring transmission, colour shift, and softness.
Fixture Compare
Compare fixtures side-by-side. Beam angles, beam width, colour rendering, colour reproduction, and output data all laid out so you can pick the right tool for every setup.
Fixture Discover
Quickly browse and compare beam angles across a whole range of fixtures at once. Filter by type, output, and modifier to narrow down exactly what you need in seconds.
Fixture Combo Engine
Pair any fixture with any modifier and see the result. Lumen output, spread, and efficiency through parabolic softboxes, lanterns, and more. Find the perfect combination before you commit.
What we do different across the Cine family. CineTraits, CineLux and CinePixel is powerful tooling, making it easier than ever to compare multiple camera bodies and lighting fixtures alongside lenses to find the perfect combination for your project.
CineLux and CinePixel will be available as separate subscription services. Purchase them individually or bundle all three together at a special rate on release. Pricing will follow the same strategy as CineTraits, scaled to each database, and both platforms will run our open access system, offering free data to everyone, just like we do on CineTraits.
CineLux is being built by the same team behind CineTraits. Our commitment to objective, visual-first testing carries over to everything we do. More details will be shared as development progresses.
